Representatives for Facebook and Google have told multiple reporters that the web giants plan to participate in the Internet wide Day of Action to Save Net Neutrality scheduled for July 12 to oppose the FCC’s plan to slash Title II, the legal foundation for net neutrality rules that protect online free speech and innovation.
 
Twitter, Reddit, Netflix, Amazon, Kickstarter, Etsy, Vimeo, Private Internet Access, Mozilla, OK Cupid, Imgur, PornHub, Medium, and hundreds of other major sites are also participating.

In the winter or spring of 1973, I attended a required lecture by Walter Cronkite, the anchor of CBS Evening News and “the most trusted man in America.” At the end of each broadcast he said “And that’s the way it is.” I was 31years old and I believed him. The Girl Scouts of America show support to the servicemen and servicewomen of America, by assisting with the local A Million Thanks drive. The Albuquerque North Stake of the LDS Church held a Leadership Conference for Girl Scouts recently and used the A Million Thanks project as their service project. Distant Earthquakes Trigger Underwater Landslides

WASHINGTON, D.C. — New research finds large earthquakes can trigger underwater landslides thousands of miles away, weeks or months after the quake occurs.
 
Researchers analyzing data from ocean bottom seismometers off the Washington-Oregon coast tied a series of underwater landslides on the Cascadia Subduction Zone, 80 to 161 kilometers (50 to 100 miles) off the Pacific Northwest coast, to a 2012 magnitude-8.6 earthquake in the Indian Ocean – more than 13,500 kilometers (8,390 miles) away.
