Assembling A Ristra From Chimayo Red Chile

Award winning author Liddie Martinez just harvested the last of the Chimayo Red Chile fresh from the field of her farm in the Española Valley to assemble into a ristra. She will hang the completed ristra to decorate the doorway of her farmhouse and to dry for later cooking and eating. Martinez is a longtime food columnist for the Los Alamos Daily Post (link). New Mexico Tourism Department To Celebrate 2023 Annular Solar Eclipse At Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

SANTA FE — Saturday, Oct. 14, New Mexico will become one of the world’s premier viewing locations for the annular solar eclipse.

To celebrate, the New Mexico Tourism Department (NMTD) will be giving away limited-edition sticker decals that depict the fortuitous overlap of the annular solar eclipse and the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
