Days of Heaven, starring a young Richard Gere, Brooke Adams and Sam Shepard, is the latest offering in the Mesa Public Library Free Film Series, showing 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Upstairs Meeting Rooms.
This highly-acclaimed film was directed by Terrence Malick, who won the prize for Best Director at the Cannes film festival in 1979. The film won Academy Awards for Best Cinematography and Best Costume Design, and was nominated for awards in Best Sound and Best Music, Original Score.

Pajarito Players Seeks Actors And Actresses
PAJARITO PLAYERS News:
Pajarito Players is seeking actors and actresses for a staged reading to take place February 2018 in Los Alamos and White Rock.
The reading will be of the play Still in the Game by Los Alamos playwright Robert Benjamin. Parts of the play have been performed previously in productions by the Los Alamos Little Theatre. The full play was performed this summer at Teatro Paraguas in Santa Fe.
A staged reading involves no set and only minimal, if any movement; the actors have scripts at hand and interact with one another through gestures and expressions.
