Daily Postcard: Clement & Benner Christmas Window In 1980 After CB FOX Purchased Store
Daily Postcard: This photo was taken of the Christmas window in 1980, the first Christmas following purchase of the store by CB FOX (July 1979). The Clement & Benner sign, deeply cut into oak, was the first physical improvement CB FOX made to the building. As part of CB FOX’s 1991 remodel of the entire storefront, the space, which had been a marquee or sheltered display space and entryway to the double front doors, all of which was exposed on the sidewalk side to the weather good or bad, became enclosed and now comprises the Candy & Gifts area of the store.
