Los Alamos Public Library invites readers to participate in a special summer session of Silent Book Club, held outdoors on the Central Avenue side of Ashley Pond Park. The free event will take place from 6–7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 17.

Daily Postcard: Exciting news! For the third year in a row, Hooded Warblers have been confirmed nesting on the Santa Fe National Forest in Los Alamos County. This image shows the male Hooded Warbler. This year’s site is again along the Upper Water Canyon Trail, only 250 feet away from last year’s nest. In 2024 they nested about 1.3 miles away in Los Alamos Canyon. The Los Alamos County Board of Public Utilities (BPU) will hold a regular session at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, in Council Chambers at the Municipal Build at 1000 Central Ave.
Members of the public may view proceedings online or attend and provide public comment in person or via Zoom.

Mesa Library Parking Lot To Open For Tonight’s Concert

To provide additional parking for tonight’s Summer Concert Series, the main vehicle access route and parking lot will reopen at 4 p.m. today at Mesa Public Library.
The road and parking lot will close again on Monday morning, June 15, as construction activities resume.
