New Hours At Bradbury Science Museum Start June 16

LANL News:

Beginning June 16, the Bradbury Science Museum will be open from 9 a.m.–4p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and from 12–4 p.m., Sunday.

This temporary change allows builders to remodel parts of the museum for a better visitor experience.

The museum appreciates your patience during these updates and looks forward to continuing to serve the community during this phase, and to sharing the new look with visitors soon.

SANTA FE — People better bring their appetite for historic cars and big steaks as the spirit of Route 66 rolls into Santa Fe. The Route 66 Centennial Caravan and 72oz Steak Challenge is making a stop at New Mexico History Museum and the Santa Fe Plaza from 1–7 p.m., Saturday, June 13.

Becky Chamberlin was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on the Canada Bonita Trail by the ski hill at 6 seconds off her predicted time. She was also the first female finisher in the 2-mile distance at 28:04. Other accurate predictors were Paul Geimer recording 16 seconds off; Lynn Bjorklund with a 26 second difference and also the best female finisher on the 3-mile course with a time of 29:34; Eric Anderson at 31 seconds off and the top finisher in the 3-mile distance recording a 21:29; and Adrian Medin with a 43 second differential.

Heinrich, Luján Secure Senate Passage Of Legislation To Keep Rural Community Hospitals Open, Improve New Mexicans’ Access To Healthcare

U.S. SENATE News:

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sens. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) secured Senate passage of the Rural Community Hospital Demonstration Reauthorization Act, legislation they cosponsored to improve New Mexicans’ access to healthcare and keep rural hospitals open by extending the Rural Community Hospital Demonstration (RCHD) program for another five years.

‘The Arts Of Democracy’ Mobile Museum Exhibit Visits Libraries Throughout New Mexico This June

This June the Wonders on Wheels Mobile Museum brings its exhibit, “The Arts of Democracy in New Mexico” to libraries across the state.

The exhibition honors the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and highlights ideals of freedom and self-government and how they have been expressed in art forms, particularly in New Mexico.
