The Los Alamos Recreation Division will be holding the Los Alamos County Rodeo on Aug.11-12 at Brewer Arena on North Mesa.

See the following information concerning parking and directions to Brewer Arena.

Rodeo Contestants: Rodeo contestants will need to bring their livestock to North Mesa Park for animal inspection. North Mesa Park is located on San Ildefonso Road South, (right lane at the roundabout). Signs will direct contestants to the inspection staging area in the park. Martin Heinrich Shows Concern for Non-Voters, Too

My friend Karyl Ann Armbruster and her 2-year-old “son” Oz Einstein Armbruster were out talking with voters last week about U.S. Rep. Martin Heinrich who is running for the U.S. Senate.

 

The plan was to canvas a few more houses on her list, go home, clean up, and attend the Martin Heinrich event a few hours later.

 

Unfortunately, after talking for several minutes at one particular residence, a 50-pound dog suddenly charged out of the house and attacked little 16-pound Oz who was straining on his leash five-feet away.

To accomplish our mission, Los Alamos National Laboratory generates some hazardous and mixed waste.

In November 2010, the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) issued the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Hazardous Waste Facility Permit.

The Permit establishes standards for how LANL manages, stores and treats hazardous wastes on-site and for the closure and post-closure care of permitted waste management units.
