This column is the first in a monthly series featuring life after retirement or after 60.

County Hosts Ponderosa Putt-Putt Tournament

The Los Alamos County Recreation Division will present the Ponderosa Putt-Putt Tournament at 6 p.m., Wednesday July 25 at East Park.

Putt-Putt registration forms are available at the Aquatic Center and must be returned to the Aquatic Center.

The deadline for pre-registration is 5 p.m., Monday July 23.

Registration is limited to 20 participants per age category.

Age categories are separated as follows:

  • 5-7 Years
  • 8-11 Years
  • 12+ Years

LANL Public Meeting: Individual Permit for Storm Water

NNSA Announces Elimination of 450 Metric Tons of Russian Weapons Highly Enriched Uranium

WASHINGTON, D.C.The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) today announced that it has monitored the elimination of more than 450 metric tons of Russian highly enriched uranium (HEU) under a landmark nuclear nonproliferation program.
