The Los Alamos School Board strives with great diligence to comply with the statutory rules for conduct of its open meetings in order to ensure transparency in government.

A Special Board meeting was held on May 24, 2012 to approve the 2012-13 Operating Budget.

Community Reaches Out to Church Following Fire

New Beginnings Fellowship Church at 112 East Road lost its chapel to fire on the 4th of July. Los Alamos Police were at the church early Thursday evening. Muni Complex Walls Take Shape

The Kiwanis Club recognizes graduating seniors for their commitment to the community with financial support. Local Author Launches New Book About Heroic Dog

“Mason, A New Mexico Hero,” describes the life of a dog, originally a homeless and unwanted puppy, running away, finding himself caught and taken to a shelter, from where he is adopted through the local annual Dog Jog into a loving family.

Caroline Mason is the author of this short story. The book is written in the first person by the dog, so the reader gets the dog’s perspective on the importance of food and regular baths and on his adaption to living in a multi-animal home.
