LALT’s Cowboy Poet a Rip-Snorting Good Time

Los Alamos Little Theatre’s production of Cowboy Poet, a C&W Musical, an original country-western musical written, composed, and directed by Deborah Magid, opened May 4 to an enthusiastic audience.

Toe tapping music, comedy and a dash of pathos combine to make Cowboy Poet a great evening at the theatre.

Cowboy Poet is set in Pojoaque and Santa Fe, and is all about New Mexico.

“The first salon that I worked at was right next to the beach,” said Susan Williams, a hairstylist originally from San Diego, Calif. “People came in wearing flip-flops and bathing suits. I got to head to the beach after lunch. It was an awesome job.”

Council Focuses on Six CIP Projects Next Week

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Council will hold two special Capital Improvement Project meetings at 6 p.m., Tuesday May 15 and 6 p.m., Wednesday May 16 in Council Chambers, 475 20th St.

At the May 15 meeting, no action will be taken. The focus will be limited to six Phase 2 projects:

  • Ashley Pond Park Improvements
  • Golf Course Improvements
  • Ice Rink Cover and Improvements
  • Nature Center
  • Teen Center
  • White Rock Civic Center
