ALBUQUERQUE  The National Hispanic Cultural Center and Jesús Muñoz Flamenco present the new production, Live!, at 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 26 and Saturday, Feb. 27, in the National Hispanic Cultural Center’s Albuquerque Journal Theatre.
 
Tickets are $25, $40, $50, $60 and $75, with a $5 discount for students, seniors, and children 12 and under, and are available from the NHCC Box Office at 505.724.4771 or here.

Kids Count: New Mexico Highest In Child Poverty

ALBUQUERQUE — New Mexico has seen some improvement in child well-being—particularly in teen birth rates and on-time high school graduation rates—but not everything is looking up.
 
The state now has the highest rate of child poverty in the nation, according to the 2015 New Mexico KIDS COUNT report, which is set for release at a press conference this morning. Udall, Heinrich Call On Legislature To Put Constitutional Amendment On Ballot To Help NM Children

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Tuesday, the first day of the state legislative session, U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrichsent a letter to the leaders of the New Mexico House and Senate, formally calling on them to work together to improve the well-being of New Mexico’s children.
