Udall, Heinrich Announce $4.39 Million For Tribal Suicide, Drug Abuse And Domestic Violence Prevention

WASHINGTON U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich announced that several New Mexico Tribes and organizations will be receiving a total of $4.39 million over five years to prevent suicide, fight drug abuse and combat domestic violence through the Indian Health Service’s Methamphetamine and Suicide Prevention Initiative (MSPI) and Domestic Violence Prevention Initiative (DVPI) programs.

Oct. 16-18 is Art Weekend in Los Alamos! Both the 2015 Los Alamos Studio Tour and the Gateway to the Holidays Arts and Crafts Fair will take place that weekend. The Los Alamos Daily Post is featuring artists from both events leading up to the Tour and Fair.

The White Rock Master Plan Implementation Committee meeting scheduled for Oct. 12 has been canceled due to the Columbus Day holiday.
 
Note that the next WRMPIC meeting set for Nov. 9 will be held at a new location, the White Rock Branch Library at 10 Sherwood Blvd. The time of the meeting is unchanged; at 6 p.m. The agenda will be posted closer to that meeting date.
