Bandelier Offers Public Programs For Summer 2021

Bandelier National Monument will begin offering a variety of programs to the public this summer.

“As COVID restrictions have relaxed, Bandelier is anxious to provide the programming visitors want so they can learn more about this park’s amazing resources. We invite the public to include one or more of these activities in their planned visit to Bandelier,” Acting Superintendent Dennis Milligan said.

The Taos County Historical Society announces the return of its monthly public programs beginning 2 p.m. Aug. 7 in the Kit Carson Electric Cooperative Boardroom at 118 Cruz Alta Road in Taos.

Speaker Christine St. Vrain Fischahs will present “Shedding Light on the Santa Fe Trail’s 1839 Mysterious Female Traveler”.

Admission is free for members of the Society with a $5 suggested donation for non-members.

Charles Lear presents a one-man production of King Richard III at International Shakespeare Center (ISC) 7 p.m., July 17 and July 18, at 3209A Calle Marie in Santa Fe.

Lear has been active in theatre for more than 40 years. He has produced, directed, taught and acted, is a produced playwright, and makes the bulk of his living as a union (I.A.T.S.E) stagehand/carpenter/welder.

His focus as an actor these days is on Shakespeare, and he was a member of the Stag and Lion Shakespeare Company, which has a theatre on West 57th Street in Manhattan, up until his move to New Mexico. Read More
