FBI And Bernalillo Police Search For Identity Of Bank Robber

A man wearing a dark blue Torrance County Fire Department long-sleeve shirt robbed a bank in Bernalillo Friday, July 30, 2021.

The robbery occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m. at Wells Fargo, 239 W. Highway 550.

The suspect is described as a Native American or Hispanic male with dark skin, approximately 5’6″ tall, with a medium build. He wore the blue shirt, a dark mask covering the lower half of his face, a dark baseball cap with a light-colored bill and dark green pants. Read More

County Council Hosts Business Town Hall Tuesday Aug. 3

The Los Alamos County Council invites the community to attend a business town hall at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3 in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 1000 Central Ave.

The business town hall is focused on how planning and zoning revisions affect economic development in the County.

Repaving Project Begins On US 84 In Abiquiu July 26

NMDOT News:

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Cutler Repaving Inc. will begin a pavement rehabilitation project Monday July 26 on US 84 in Abiquiu.

Work will take place from mile marker 216 to 223.5. The 7.5-mile project is expected to last 27 working days and will include new pavement and striping.

Crews will work 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., six days a week weather permitting. There will be traffic control personnel at each end of the closure, and a pilot car will guide motorists through the work zone.
