VETERANS News: 

Healing America’s Heroes (HAH) is accepting applications for its Summer Program. The program provides up to six women veterans an opportunity to enrich their lives through horsemanship, fly fishing and skills building.

All meals, lodging and therapeutic programs are provided at no cost to veterans during this one-week program June 25-30 at a private, 10-acre retreat in Plaza Blanca.

2017 Special Election Update

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Clerk’s Office is providing an update to the special election for the recreation bond. On May 2, there were 13,484 ballots mailed to registered voters, to date, the Los ALamos County Clerk’s Office has received 6,025 returned ballot envelopes and five unsigned ballot envelopes.

There are still a few more opportunities to return your voted ballot to the County Clerk. You may hand deliver your voted ballot in the proper signature envelope until 5 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Read More

The Los Alamos Arts Council’s Kite Festival will officially turn 20 Friday at Overlook Park. The festival begins at 7 p.m. in conjunction with the Los Alamos Summer Concert Series. The festival continues from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the park.
