Robert L. Carlson – a man talented and intelligent, with a sneaky wit and gentle humor (at times). He was married and divorced three times, but his long-time love was Fran Berting. They were together at least three decades. During that time, he designed, engineered, and worked on his “castle” on Los Pueblos Street. When asked when it would be finished, he always would say “December, but I won’t tell you the year”.
