Fence Repair Project Along Diamond Drive Begins Today
Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets, in conjunction with their contractor American Fence, will be repairing the fencing along Diamond Drive between 40th and 35th streets beginning at 11 a.m. today.
Crews will close the right lane, shoulder and sidewalk on the east side of Diamond Drive. The project is anticipated to be completed by 6 p.m. today. Any additional work needed is scheduled for Monday, May 22 to complete the project.

Santa Fe National Forest Monitors New Fire Start
Los Alamos County Fire Department notified the Santa Fe National Forest that a single tree snag (dead and dying tree) was hit by lightning during storms this afternoon.
The Santa Fe National Forest Interagency Helitack (Helicopter) crew responded immediately to assess the start. The start was located north of Pajarito Mountain, east of the Nordic Ski Area, and west of Quemazon Canyon.
