COVID-19 Vaccine/Booster Clinic 2200 Diamond June 27

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County and Premier Medical Group will hold a vaccine and booster clinic to administer Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to eligible recipients, including children as young as five.

The clinic is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Monday, June 27, at First Baptist Church of Los Alamos, 2200 Diamond Dr.

Interested individuals can schedule an appointment. While appointments are preferred, walk-ins are welcome. Insurance and identification are not required.

The lobby-facing windows at the Los Alamos County Customer Care Center in the Municipal Building as well as the Department of Public Utilities suite will be closed for two hours 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., during the business day Thursday, June 30, while staff attends an annual employee picnic.

For safety reasons, crews are waiting for weather conditions to improve to allow for work to continue safely.

Effective Immediately: Los Alamos County Trails Are Open!

COUNTY News:

With the increase in rain activity in the region, Los Alamos County will move to Stage 2 Fire Restrictions effective immediately. A revised Fire Marshal’s Order to reflect these changes will be issued Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

According to Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) officials, this action opens access to all County trails, and allows outdoor firing range activity with safety measures in place, although some “trail closure” signage may not yet be removed.

The Customer Care Center and other operations within the Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities will be closed Monday, June 20, in observance of Juneteenth.

While most DPU employees will have the day off work, electric power dispatchers and limited water production crews will work through the holiday. Standby crews will be on call for the Electric Distribution, Wastewater and Gas/Water/Sewer divisions as well as for the hydroelectric plants.
