Atomic City Transit Holiday Closure, Peak Service Suspension

ACT News:

Los Alamos County Atomic City Transit (ACT) will not operate Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day. 

Regular service will resume Tuesday, May 31.

Beginning Wednesday, June 1, Peak service for Route 1, Route 6 and Route 2 will be suspended until further notice.

The USDA Forest Service issued the following update today on the status of the Cerro Pelado Fire.

There will be warmer weather over the fire area today with sunny skies in the morning. There is zero percent chance of precipitation, and the maximum temperature will reach into the low 80’s.

Relative humidity will be in the low teens. Southwest winds are forecast. Fire behavior continues to be minimal across the fire area.

Public Meeting June 1 On North Mesa Shared-Use Gym

The Los Alamos Art in Public Places Board and the Community Services Department invite the community to the dedication of Piñon Park Maze, by Carrie Quade, at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 2 at the Piñon Park Splash Pad in White Rock.
