U.S. Senators Heinrich, Luján Direct Millions In Funding To New Mexico Community Projects

U.S. SENATE News:
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) announced funding they secured for local projects across New Mexico in the historic bipartisan Omnibus Appropriations Agreement for Fiscal Year 2022.
Together, Sen. Heinrich, a member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, and Sen. Luján secured almost $160 million in Congressionally Directed Spending for more than 75 local projects in New Mexico.

Today’s Farmers Market Curbside Pickup Moved To Ashley Pond Parking Lot At 20th And Trinity Drive

Today the Los Alamos Farmers Market curbside pickup will again be relocated to the Ashley Pond Parking Lot at 20th Street and Trinity Drive.
Pickup will be offered at its usual time, 10 a.m. to noon.
This is a temporary relocation to accommodate deconstruction and clearing out of production equipment and materials following the March 9-16 filming activities conducted at Fuller Lodge.

Los Alamos County is accepting applications for eligible candidates to be appointed immediately to complete the terms of three vacant seats on the Personnel Board.
Two vacancies will expire March 31, 2023, and one vacancy will expire March 31, 2024. Reduced COVID-19 Testing Hours In White Rock
COUNTY News:
Pathology Consultants of New Mexico (PCNM) has reduced its PCR COVID-19 testing hours in White Rock.
The Overlook Park drive-through site’s new hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning immediately.
Tests are administered on a first-come, first-serve basis; no appointments are necessary. The test is self-administered using a swab to collect a sample in the shallow part of the nose.
PCNM will provide results within 24 to 48 hours.

Atomic City Transit Temporary Bus Stop & Detour On Nectar

Atomic City Transit has been notified that a portion of Nectar Street and Peach Street will be closed due to filming of the Oppenheimer movie.
This closure will affect the Route 3 inbound trips and bus stop #158 will be temporarily closed.
A temporary bus stop has been placed just prior to 19th Street. The bus stop closure and detour shall remain in effect during filming.
Motorists should expect possible route delays due to traffic congestion.

This chart shows the seven-day average number of COVID-19 diagnoses versus date nationwide, statewide and countywide. Since Feb. 15, 2022, the number of COVID-19 diagnoses in Los Alamos County have consistently exceeded the national average and the state average. On a scale of 0 to 100, the diagnoses index quantifies the current level of diagnoses by using a comparison with daily levels since the start of the pandemic (the higher the index, the more severe the current state of the pandemic is).
