Los Alamos County Golf Course 2022 Golf Passes will be available for purchase Wednesday, Jan. 12 at the Golf Shop at 4244 Diamond Dr.
Passes may only be purchased at the Golf Shop as online pass purchases are unavailable at this time.

SANTA FE — New Mexico state health officials announced 2,514 new COVID-19 cases today.
Los Alamos County reported 3 new cases today, bringing the total to 1,138 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)
This update includes 36 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19 and a 7-Day positivity rate of 20.6 percent.
Per the state Department of Health, the most recent cases are:

Los Alamos County Animal Shelter Hours Changing Feb. 1

The Los Alamos County Animal Shelter will be changing its hours of operation beginning Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022.
The Shelter will be closed each Wednesday for staff training, animal care and deep cleaning of the facility.
New Shelter Hours:
- Sunday through Tuesday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.;
- Closed Wednesday; and
- Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

County Plans Brief Lane Closures Around Townsite Jan. 8

Los Alamos County announces that temporary lane closures of approximately 20 minutes are scheduled at six locations Saturday, Jan. 8 in the Los Alamos townsite.
Staff with Los Alamos County Information Management Division will be rotating from Camino Entrada, Trinity Drive, 15th Street and Diamond Drive to perform routine inspections of fiber optics infrastructure in vaults within the roadway.
Closures expected 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday as follows:

County Invites Community To Join Pueblo Canyon Trail Conceptual Plan Focus Group Session Via Zoom Jan.

Los Alamos County Community Services Department (CSD) is working with Design Office, a professional consulting service to provide a conceptual design and layout for new and renovated trails in Pueblo Canyon.
As part of this process, CSD has formed several focus groups for citizens and user groups of these trails to provide their thoughts and input to help develop and prioritize conceptual designs for projects that will be shared with Los Alamos County Council for funding considerations.
