SANTA FE – New Mexico Department of Health officials announced today 381 new COVID-19 cases.
Los Alamos County reports 1 new case today, bringing the total to 530 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)
This update includes 2 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.
The New Mexico Department of Health reports the most recent cases:
- 103 new cases in Bernalillo County
- 13 new cases in Chaves County
- 4 new cases in Cibola County
- 4 new cases in

After approximately 41 hours without water, the residents of Elk Ridge mobile home park finally had water restored at around 3 p.m. today.
Residents said that the mobile home park had been without water since 10 p.m. Saturday.

Elk Ridge Mobile Home Park Without Water For Over 24 Hrs., County Has Opened Aquatic Center For Residents Until 6 PM
COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County will open the Larry Walkup Aquatic Center until 6 p.m. today to allow residents from the Elk Ridge Mobile Home Park on East Jemez Road to take showers and fill up water containers at no charge.
Residents are advised to bring towels, soap, shampoo and any other personal items necessary.

Transportation Board Holds DP Road Phase II – Roadway And Utility Infrastructure Project Public Input Meeting June 3

Los Alamos County is in the early stages of developing the design of Roadway and Utility Improvements for the section of DP Road from Fire Station #2 to the TA-21 Gate.
Wilson & Company is assisting the County with the design.
The Project Team will be presenting, answering questions and soliciting feedback during the June 3 Transportation Board Meeting about project details including:
- Parking alternatives;
- Proposed roadway and utility improvements; and

New Mexico State Police (NMSP) will be conducting sobriety checkpoints; saturation patrols; and registration, insurance and driver’s license checkpoints in all New Mexico counties during the month of June in an effort to end DWI.
NMSP is bringing awareness to these events in an effort to reduce alcohol related fatalities through continued media attention and intensive advertising.

Truck Route Remains Closed Due To Multiple Car Accident
Entry to the Truck Route is closed as police and LAFD paramedics attend to motorists injured in a multiple vehicle accident this morning on the Truck Route near the Los Alamos County Eco Station. A helicopter has been requested to help transport the injured and will be stationed near the Eco Station. Police are asking motorists to find alternate routes until further notice. Traffic Alert: Multiple Vehicle Accident On Truck Route
LAPD News:
Update: The Los Alamos Police Department and Los Alamos Fire Department are at the scene of an accident that just occurred on the Truck Route near the Los Alamos County Eco Station.
This accident involves multiple vehicles and multiple injuries.
A helicopter has been requested to help transport the injured. It will land near the Eco Station on East Jemez Road.
Police are asking motorists to avoid using the Truck Route until further notice.
