SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials have announced this afternoon 214 additional positive tests for COVID-19.
Los Alamos County remains at 20 cases that have tested positive for COVID-19.
Today’s update announces 3 additional death reported in New Mexico related to COVID-19.
The New Mexico Department of Health reported today the most recent cases:
- 67 new cases in Bernalillo County
- 17 new cases in Chaves County
- 6 new cases in Cibola County
- 10 new cases in Curry County
- 34 new cases in Doña Ana County
- 9 new cases in Eddy County
- 23 new cases in Lea County
- 1 new case in Lincoln County

The Los Alamos Police Department has noticed an increase in speeding concerns from the Los Alamos public over the last month.
These concerns have come in a variety of forms to include; social media posts, emails, phone calls, and citizens utilizing the crime-tip submission tool on the LAPD website.

The deadline for Los Alamos County Council to decide whether to continue with the Carbon Free Power Project (CFPP) is approaching.

Traffic Alert Update:
Traffic is now moving smoothly in both directions between the Truck Route and White Rock on N.M. 4 following the mishap earlier this morning in which trailer flipped over and blocked the roadway.
However, the Los Alamos Police Department is utilizing the shoulder while awaiting the arrival of a wrecker to remove the flipped trailer.
There is construction debris near the scene of the accident and motorists should slow down and proceed through this area at mile marker 66 with caution.

Efforts to clarify and update Chapter 18 of the Los Alamos County’s code enforcement progressed further during Tuesday night’s regular County Council meeting.
Council unanimously approved to authorize a request for proposal (RFP) to hire a consultant that will be tasked with revising Chapter 18, which is also known as the chapter on environment, Community Development Department (CDD) Director Paul Andrus said.
