New County-Wide MainStreet Program Expands To White Rock

New Mexico MainStreet (NMMS) has recently announced that Los Alamos MainStreet, run by Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation (LACDC) through a contract with Los Alamos County, has approved their joint request to expand the program into White Rock. NMMS has now re-classified the Los Alamos MainStreet program serving downtown Los Alamos as a “County-wide” program.

LAPD Seeks Assistance Identifying Female Suspect

The Los Alamos Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a female suspect wanted in a local shoplifting case.

She is described as having brown hair and a tattoo on her right shoulder, as seen in the surveillance footage.

LAPD is offering a reward of up to $150 to anyone who has information to help identify the suspect.

LAHS Key Club Participates In ‘Single Service Project Day’ Filling Gabion Baskets At County Landfill

Some 36 Key Club members spent the club’s annual ‘Single Service Project Day’ Saturday, Oct. 27, working at the Los Alamos County Landfill. They spent almost three hours filling ‘gabion baskets’ with recycled glass and fastening the baskets together into a long line designed to prevent soil erosion at the top of a hill.
