Scenes From Art In Public Places Ribbon Cutting For Wind Sculptures Installed At Mesa Public Library
Members of the Arts in Public Places Board, County Councilors and citizens took part in the ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday morning at Mesa Public Library. The ceremony officially recognized three new wind sculptures in front of the library. The pieces are called ‘Jelly Fish,’ ‘Split Infinity’ and ‘Ripple Sphere’. They were purchased at the Mark White Gallery in Santa Fe. ‘Ripple Sphere’ was donated by Charles Bowman in memory of his wife, Nona, who served on the Los Alamos County Council as well as the Arts in Public Places Board. Alert: Traffic Signal Mast Arm Pole Replacement On Diamond At Arkansas Sept. 15-16
COUNTY News:
Traffic and Streets will be working with vendor Bixby Electric to replace a mast arm pole on the traffic signal on Diamond Drive at Arkansas Avenue.
The project will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 and end by 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16.
Traffic heading south on Arkansas Avenue to the Diamond Drive intersection will be detoured to 41st Street to Alabama Avenue. Westbound traffic on Diamond Drive will note a bike lane closure and a right lane closure. Traffic will be diverted to the left most lane.
