Los Alamos National Laboratory Environmental Management contractor N3B has released the Interim Facility-Wide Groundwater Monitoring Plan for the 2019 monitoring year which runs from October to September 2019.

Email Accuses Los Alamos County Councilors Of Violating Ruling On Office Of Sheriff Duties

Los Alamos resident Greg White has sent an email to Los Alamos County Councilors accusing them of violating a recent ruling by First Judicial District Judge Francis Mathew in a case filed by Sheriff Marco Lucero almost a year ago.

White, who is running for sheriff, gave permission for the Los Alamos Daily Post to disclose the contents of the email, which tells Councilors it is “absolutely amazing that you all are violating Judge Mathew’s order already”.

Public Hearing For Proposed Sewer Rate Increase

Officials with the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) will recommend to the Board of Public Utilities a sewer rate increase to establish sufficient revenue to sustain future debt service to replace the White Rock wastewater treatment plant.

Proposed Sewage Rate Increase Goes Before Board of Public Utilities Aug. 15

The Department of Public Utilities is proposing an increase to sewage rate services.

The public hearing for the proposed sewage rate increase is 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15 in Council Chambers at the Los Alamos County Municipal Building, 1000 Central Ave.

The public is encouraged to read the discussion and provide feedback to the Board of Public Utilities here.

First Judicial District Judge Greg Shaffer has responded to a request from Los Alamos resident and candidate for sheriff Greg White to voluntarily recuse himself from an ongoing case White filed Jan. 12 against Los Alamos County officials related to the duties and budget of the sheriff’s office.
