Residents May Still Apply For New Community Development Advisory Board Until 5 p.m. Monday
COUNTY News:
Residents are still welcome to apply for a new Community Development Advisory Board. The deadline is 5 p.m. Monday, July 9.
The new board was created by the County Council in May and tasked with making recommendations to the Council regarding the development, implementation and enforcement of County property maintenance codes within the corporate boundaries of the County. Attention North Mesa Residents (Cumbres del Sol Subdivision) … Star Paving will start construction activities Thursday, July 5 on the North Mesa Improvements Phase II Project.
Proposed improvements include roadway reconstruction, removal of surfacing, complete asphalt overlay, manhole adjustments, intermittent curb and gutter, sidewalks, drive pad replacement, landscape remediation and rigid electrical conduit installation on the following streets:

The only topic on the agenda is a discussion of options and preparation needed because of a potential Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) shortfall that might be forthcoming if Triad National Security, LLC (TNS) – the apparent successful bidder for the O&M contract at LANL – files with the State of New Mexico as a not-for-profit entity.

Utility Work On Diamond Drive Saturday
DPU News:
Gas, water and sewer crews with the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities will be excavating on the north side of Diamond Drive between 35 and 36 Streets to identify the location of, and if possible, complete repairs to a water leak.
This investigatory utility work will occur Saturday, June 30 only. Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane at the construction zone beginning at 7:30 a.m. and restored to two lanes by evening. Motorists can expect some delays.
