The Los Alamos County Environmental Services Department would like to remind residents that this is a yard trimming collection week (tan cart).

Anyone who has not yet received a yard trimming roll cart is asked to be patient.

Utility Work On Diamond Saturday … Possibly Sunday

COUNTY News:

Gas, water and sewer crews with the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities will be excavating on the north side of Diamond Dr. between 35th and 37th streets to identify the location of, and if possible, repair a water leak.

This investigatory utility work will occur Saturday July 14 and possibly continue through Sunday July 15.

East and westbound traffic will be restricted beginning at 7:30 a.m. to one lane in each direction on the south side of Diamond, while two lanes on the north side of Diamond will be closed at the construction zone. Motorists can expect some delays.

COUNTY News:

The next monthly meeting of the Discoveries Action Team is Thursday, July 19 in the Pajarito Room of Fuller Lodge. Participants meet 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will continue discussing ideas suggested by the Place-Making and Place-Marketing subgroups. Free lunch will be served. The meeting will be facilitated by the Idea Group, the consultant for implementation of the Brand Action Plan.

Effective immediately, Los Alamos County has dropped from Stage III to Stage I Fire Restrictions, opening the Los Alamos County Trail Network and open spaces.

In the seventh weekly show of this year’s Gordons Summer Concert Series, the Cali Shaw Band performed to a large crowd of all ages Friday night at Ashley Pond Park in downtown Los Alamos.
