Leadership Los Alamos is accepting applications for its 2018-2019 class. Any person having an interest in the objectives of LLA, and who lives or works in Los Alamos County is eligible to participate.

LANL 75th Event Saturday May Cause Traffic Congestion And Limited Parking Downtown
COUNTY News:
Because of the LANL 75th Anniversary Celebration being held Saturday, June 30 at Ashley Pond Park, motorists may experience congestion and greatly reduced parking options around the downtown area of Los Alamos, including Trinity Drive and Central Avenue.
The event is expected to bring several thousand LANL employees to the townsite. Central Avenue will be closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., from 15th Street to Oppenheimer for the event. Municipal Building HVAC System Work Begins July 2
COUNTY News:
In an effort to resolve HVAC system noise and vibration at the Los Alamos County Municipal Building, the County and Jaynes Corporation, the original contractor hired to construct the building, have cooperatively worked through a third-party engineer to evaluate the issue and recommend solutions.
After thorough analysis and investigation, a corrective action plan and schedule have been developed. Starting July 2 through the end of August, crews from Jaynes and its subcontractors will work on duct system modifications to improve air flow in the following areas of the building: Read More
Stimmel Fails To Submit Roof Contract To Los Alamos Municipal Court As Ordered During Hearing

White Rock property owner Jay Stimmel again failed to do as he promised Los Alamos Municipal Judge Alan Kirk Monday when he did not provide the Court with an executed agreement with a construction company to finish replacing the roof on his Kayenta Street house.
Stimmel is charged with having a roof in disrepair in five separate cases related to this residence.

Los Alamos Fire Chief Troy Hughes announced today that the Fire Department has reached a decision regarding the annual Independence Day celebration sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.

Update: Police Locate Missing Teenager Hunter Ferris

Jonathan Ferris contacted the Los Alamos Daily Post this evening at 9:30 to say Los Alamos police officers have located his missing son 15-year-old Hunter Ferris and he is safe.
Hunter Ferris went missing Friday evening during the summer concert at Ashley Pond Park. His parents appealed to him to come home and asked anyone who knows where he is to contact them or call the Los Alamos Police Department Dispatch.
