County Launches Free Public WiFi For Public Use At Ashley Pond Park And Fuller Lodge Area

In support of new tourism initiatives surrounding promotion of Los Alamos as the home of the Manhattan Project National Historical Park, Los Alamos County has installed free WiFi for the public to use at Ashley Pond Park and nearby Fuller Lodge, including the eastern Fuller Lodge Lawn, and the Library overflow lot (used Thursdays by Farmer’s Market). With its cascading waterfall, flowering plants and swimming ducks; Ashley Pond is a picture-perfect postcard of serenity.

James Lind Charged With Fourth Offense DWI

James K. Lind, 50 of Los Alamos was arrested July 8 and charged with fourth offense driving under the influence after Los Alamos Police officers responded to two calls reporting a reckless driver coming up the main hill road driving 10 miles an hour.

The same vehicle had been called in to LAPD Dispatch earlier driving on N.M. 4 and Rover Boulevard in White Rock.
