Traffic Changes On Sherwood In White Rock Scheduled For Sept. 15

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Public Works Department and contractor RMCI Inc. have announced a lane closure and detour on Sherwood Boulevard will go into effect as early as Tuesday after the morning rush hour, shortly after 8 a.m.

The northbound lane will be closed at Aztec Avenue while the southbound lane will remain open. To accommodate construction operations and equipment, the southbound lane will shift to the far eastside of Sherwood Boulevard, then again to the center.

Lift Station Renovation Begins On Karen Circle

Construction activities are getting started next week on Karen Circle in White Rock and are anticipated to continue through October. 

Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities’ contractor, RMCI will be upgrading and renovating a sanitary sewer lift station that services 25 customers on Karen Circle.

Rodent Causes Friday Power Outage

A rodent caused a power outage affecting 537 Department of Public Utilities customers late Friday morning.  

The outage began at approximately 10 a.m. when the animal got inside an electric switch cabinet at the Airport entrance and damaged a switch.

Parts of the Los Alamos business area on Trinity Drive blinked, while customers North of Central to Canyon and east toward the airport lost power for a longer duration of time.  Electric linemen were able to restore power by 10:22 a.m. to Read More
