Major Water Main Break Near Rover and NM 4
COUNTY News:
Officials with the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities are reporting a water main break occurred at approximately 1 p.m. on N.M. 4 northeast of the Rover Boulevard intersection.
Water crews are dispatched and excavating the area to make repairs.
While DPU states that no customers are without water, some may experience low water pressure.
DPU estimates that repairs to the water line should be complete early this evening. Road repairs may take longer.

Syd is a BIG orange male cat who is 15 years old and more than a little sad about ending up in the shelter.
He arrived last week, after it was reported that he was no longer using the litter box. It turns out this poor guy just had a urinary tract infection and couldn’t make it to the litter box in time.

The Los Alamos County Council voted today to adopt an ordinance authorizing a lease for a certain portion of the County-owned Golf Course Community Building to Pajarito Golf Group, LLC.
This vote comes after several unsuccessful attempts requesting proposals from qualified service providers to provide a food and beverage operation at the Golf Course clubhouse/community building.

Disney’s uber-popular movie “Frozen” will be shown at sundown today at East Park in Los Alamos.
The event is sponsored by the Los Alamos County Airport as part of the summer “Movies in the Park” series.

Los Alamos Traffic Division Paints The Town
At 6 a.m. Tuesday, a crew from the Los Alamos County Traffic Division will paint the parking space lines in the Municipal Building lot. A worker told the Los Alamos Daily Post that the project involves sectioning off half the lot at a time and painting it. He estimated that it takes about an hour or so for each side to dry.
