The upcoming Los Alamos County Summer Concert Series will mark 25 years of rockin Los Alamos. The 2014 Series will start May 16 at Overlook Park with Zoe Muth and the Lost High Rollers.

On May 23, we’ll have our first concert on the new stage at the beautifully remodeled Ashley Pond. A number of dates have been finalized but I’m still working on this year’s schedule.

Trinity Side Driveways into Mari Mac Closed Five Weeks

COUNTY News:

Attention FYI Trinity Drive commuters: With a target date of July 2014 for the new Smith’s Marketplace to open its doors, construction activity will pick up on Trinity Drive beginning as soon as next week and continue until July.  

The Department of Public Utilities has been told that in order to complete the work in the fastest time possible, both driveways from Trinity Drive into Mari Mac Plaza along with three rows of parking will be closed to traffic for approximately five weeks to install a new entrance and traffic light.

The Los Alamos County Council is seeking an individual interested in filling a vacancy on the North Central New Mexico Economic Development District (NCNMEDD) Board of Directors.

The NCNMEDD is an association of local units of government and other organizations created to encourage and allow regional cooperation on a multitude of issues. The District was formed in 1967, using funds from the federal Economic Development Administration. New LAFD Ladder Truck Heads to Active Service Monday

The Los Alamos Fire Department will host a brief ceremony Monday, March 10 celebrating the “push in” of its new ladder truck into active service for the first time.
