Second Online Survey Opens For Community Input On Ice Rink Shade Structure Project

The Public Works Capital Projects & Facilities Division invites residents to participate in a second online survey to collect feedback on a potential shade structure for the Los Alamos County Ice Rink. This feedback will help inform the decision-making process regarding improvements to the outdoor rink. The survey is open to the public from April 10-24 (14 days).

Los Alamos County Environmental Services To Close April 16 For Employee Training And Facility Maintenance

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Environmental Services will be closed Wednesday, April 16, for employee development, safety training, certification compliance, and facility maintenance. This includes operations at the Eco Station and the White Rock Overlook Convenience Center. Trash, yard waste, and recycling collection services will also be suspended. Collection services for those impacted will be provided Thursday, April 17.

Work on the metropolitan redevelopment area (MRA) plan for the eastern portion of downtown Los Alamos will continue; Los Alamos County Council unanimously approved to see the plan through to its completion during its regular meeting Tuesday.

Council Action: County Provides Updates On Recent Cell Phone And Internet Outages

On March 11 and March 17, Los Alamos was unceremoniously kicked off not only the internet but cell phone service. In response, Deputy Utility Manager for the Engineering Division James Alarid explained to Los Alamos County Council March 25 why everyone’s  Wifi and cell phone service bars vanished.
