Los Alamos County Invites Community To Open Houses Highlighting Capital Improvement Projects

Los Alamos County will host two open houses for the community to be held in Los Alamos and White Rock in March to learn about capital improvement projects (CIP) under development and recently completed, along with other active projects in the community included in the projected Fiscal Year 2026 budget.
Residents are encouraged to drop in between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and engage with County staff at either of the following events:
- Monday, March 10, at White Rock Fire Station 3 (129 N.M. 4, White Rock); or

A Public Engagement Listening Session for a North Mesa Recreation Plan will take place from 5:30–7 p.m., March 12, at Cottonwood on the Greens at the Los Alamos County Golf Course.
The Community Services Department invites community members to participate in the North Mesa Recreation Plan meeting. Atomic City Transit will resume Peak Service on Route 6 in the morning from 6:15 a.m. to 9:21 a.m., tomorrow, March 4.

Delay In Mailing 2025 Notices Of Value For LA County
COUNTY News:
The Los Alamos County Assessor’s Office announced a delay in mailing the 2025 Notices of Value (NOV) due to pending state legislation that may impact property valuations. While New Mexico law requires assessors to mail NOVs by April 1, the Property Tax Director of the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration has authorized a one-time delay of up to 30 days for Los Alamos County and several other counties.

Registration for the US Kids Golf Program’s Spring 2025 session opens March 3, 2025! This exciting program, designed for young golfers, will run from April 21 through May 22, providing an excellent opportunity for children ages 6 through 13 to develop their golf skills in a fun and supportive environment.

- POD 1: Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Public Meeting On Fire Station 4 Replacement Project
Los Alamos County Public Works and the Los Alamos Fire Department invite the public to an in-person meeting regarding the Fire Station 4 replacement project.
