Public Works Dept. Announces Restart Of DP Road Phase II

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Public Works Department announces the restart of scheduled construction on DP Road. The project activities ramped up this past week with material deliveries. Beginning Monday, Feb. 24, new lane closures and flagging operations will begin on DP Road to install the new force main sewer pipe infrastructure.

Housing Choice Voucher Program Adjusted In Los Alamos

Los Alamos County’s Social Services office has been notified that the Santa Fe Civic Housing Authority – Española Office will continue providing services to Los Alamos residents through the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program; however, monthly in-person visits in Los Alamos have been canceled until further notice.

Work Resumes On Bathtub Row Reconstruction Project

After a period of uncertainty, the energy coordination agreement (ECA) between Los Alamos County and Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) received some assurance for its continuation through a request to extend the existing ECA for six months.

Los Alamos Golf Course Practice Range Opens March 8

The practice range at the Los Alamos County Golf Course will officially open Saturday, March 8.

The practice range will be available for use during the following hours:

  • March 8 – 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and
  • March 9 and going forward, 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The putting green will also be open beginning March 8.

Note: The new short game practice area and the new chipping green will not be open until further notice.
