Exploring The Jewish Experience Course Begins In January

Three local Jewish educators have come together to offer the Exploring the Jewish Experience (EJE) Course starting in January 2024 in Santa Fe.
Rabbi Jack Shlachter of HaMakom, Rabbi Dov Gartenberg of Shabbat with Friends, and Joy Ellen Rosenberg of Santa Fe will form the teaching team of the EJE Course.
The EJE course offers an engaging study of Judaism and the Jewish people, touching on the most consequential teachings, history, and enduring characteristics of one of the oldest continuous religions and cultures.

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) invites the community to attend “a cozy night” at the Los Alamos Nature Center 4-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, for a screening of the beloved holiday movie Home Alone, along with a hot chocolate bar.
The hot chocolate bar opens at 4 p.m., the movie starts at 4:30 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to wear “ugly” holiday sweaters or pajamas and slippers to get into the holiday spirit.

Los Alamos High School Graduation Rate Remains Among Highest In New Mexico

Los Alamos High School’s graduation rate is among the highest in the state, according to data released by the New Mexico Public Education Department. The school’s 2023 graduation rate is 97%, which reflects continued growth from the previous school year.
The state overall reported a 76% graduation rate which is a slight decrease from the previous year.
