Los Alamos Public Schools (LAPS) announces that Andrea Determan has accepted the position of Director of Inclusive Schools for LAPS.

In this role, Determan will serve as a key member of the district’s leadership team. She will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the district’s work in addressing equity and creating more inclusive schools where all of the students are safe to learn and be themselves.

Santa Fe Community College, Kids Campus & SF Higher Education Center Sept. 4 For Labor Day

Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) and the Santa Fe Higher Education Center will observe Labor Day Monday, Sept. 4.

No classes will be held, and no student services will be available. SFCC’s child development center, Kids Campus will be closed. The William C. Witter Fitness Education Center is closed Sept. 4 and will reopen 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Good News Clubs News:

Good News Clubs are a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship in which trained teachers meet with groups of children after school in the elementary schools.

Each week the teachers present an exciting Bible lesson, songs, a Scripture verse, missions story and review games or other activities focused on the lesson’s theme.

This fun, weekly activity promotes children’s educational, emotional, spiritual and character development. The Clubs are entirely free and voluntary.
