Retirees and their families attended the celebration in the School Boardroom while others attended via Zoom.

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) has announced that beginning Tuesday, June 1, the Los Alamos Nature Center will be open additional hours.
Starting June 1, the Los Alamos Nature Center’s hours will be:
- Monday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Tuesday: Closed
- Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday: Closed

NMPED: Third School Required To Close For 14 Days

SANTA FE — A high school in Farmington has become the third of New Mexico’s 840 public schools to face a mandatory, 14-day return to remote instruction in the nearly two months following widespread school reentry.
Piedra Vista High School received the closure order Tuesday after reporting four Rapid Responses in 14 days, the state’s conservative threshold to prevent spread of COVID-19.
Piedra Vista, which has about 1,460 students, has up to seven days to close and then must remain closed for 14 days.

The tower will include a seven-level, 570,000 square foot adult acute care hospital containing 96 intensive care beds, 18 operating rooms, multiple medical laboratories and suites, and a complete adult emergency department.
SANTA FE — The New Mexico Higher Education Department (NMHED) has approved construction of a new hospital tower for the University of New Mexico Hospital.
The department has been working with UNM on the project since early 2019, which is the largest-scale capital outlay project undertaken by a public university in New Mexico in 10 years.
