LAS VEGAS, NM – Students in the Chemistry Department at New Mexico Highlands University used an FDA-approved formula to produce hand sanitizer for the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kiwanis Club Announces Upcoming Virtual Meetings

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Kiwanis od Los Alamos is not holding its usual noon Tuesday meetings at Trinity-on-the-Hill Episcopal Church in April.
No face-to-face meetings at TOTH will be held during the governor’s “stay-at-home” order.

LAS VEGAS, NM — Tanya Tohtsoni, a Navajo woman and RN-BSN student at New Mexico Highlands University, is on the front lines as a nurse serving the hard-hit Navajo Nation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tohtsoni also won a $1,000 Florence Nightingale Foundation scholarship in April 2020, the second year in a row she has received the honor. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA to date and is on track to graduate in December 2020.
