Effective today, Mr. Brad Parker has been appointed interim Principal at Los Alamos High School. Dr. Debbie Belew-Nyquist will not be returning as Principal for the 2015-16 school year.
Parker’s background in education is extensive. His teaching experience includes biology and physical science instruction as well as leading at-risk tutoring at Santa Fe High School. He also taught life science at Los Alamos Middle School.

The Los Alamos Nature Center will host its first planetarium show at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9 at 2600 Canyon Road.
The presentation will introduce beginning stargazers to the planets that can be seen throughout June, and to selected objects of interest that can be viewed using binoculars and asterisms (star patterns) during spring and summer nights. Particular emphasis will be given to the closest approach of Venus with Jupiter that occurs later this month, a conjunction that will not reoccur until August 27, 2016.
