La Vista Church in White Rock is hosting a Vacation Bible School (VBS), 9:30-11:30 a.m. Monday, June 8 to Friday June 12. This is a free event and open to all children entering Kindergarten up to those who have just completed 5th grade.

Rotary Student Of The Month Is Talia Dreicer
Talia Dreicer Talia Dreicer is the newest Rotary Student of the Month. Her community service, scholastic achievements and attitude towards her peers and learning were recognized during last week’s club meeting at the Cottonwood on the Greens restaurant.
Dreicer is a varsity cross country runner, a Link Crew Leader who helps incoming freshman adjust to life in high school, and a Pajarito Environmental Education Center volunteer.

Thirteen college-bound high school students from Northern New Mexico have been selected for scholarships administered by the J. Robert Oppenheimer Memorial Committee.
The students are from Los Alamos, Pojoaque Valley and Santa Fe high schools.
