ALBUQUERQUE — A previously convicted felon was sentenced to 96 months in prison after agents recovered fentanyl and a stolen firearm during an attempted arrest in Las Cruces.
According to court records, on May 21, 2024, FBI task force officers and Las Cruces/Dona Ana County Metro Narcotics agents attempted to stop a vehicle associated with an ongoing investigation into fentanyl trafficking. Water Break Occurred Near Central Park Square Yesterday

A contractor working on the Bathtub Row Roadway and Utilities Replacement project hit a water line near 15th Street and Iris Street yesterday morning. Water crews from the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) were dispatched for repairs.
Water was turned off for commercial customers in the vicinity while the water main was fixed. Impacted customers were in the building in the southeast quadrant of Central Park Square that runs parallel to Central Avenue and the Los Alamos National Laboratory building in Central Park Square.

EL PASO, Texas – An active-duty soldier stationed at Fort Bliss was arrested today in El Paso on criminal charges of attempted transmission of national defense information to a foreign adversary and attempted export of controlled technical data without a license.

Fault Causes Early Morning Outage In Quemazon … Power Restored Around 7:40 A.M.
An underground fault caused a power outage in the Quemazon neighborhood early this morning. The issue appears to have begun around 5 a.m., with some properties losing power as late as 7 a.m. today.
About 320 customers were without electricity while line crews from the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) worked to restore power.
