Pets Of The Week: Allegra & Allegro, Butterfly
Some miracles barely weigh more than their whiskers, yet carry an extraordinary will to live. At just one week old, Allegra was explicably found alone in the middle of a highway. Cars were speeding past at 65+ mph when a Good Samaritan saw her and pulled over—one vehicle even passed directly over her before he could reach her. She had been thrown between lanes and left severely injured, covered in abrasions and in shock.
Allegra’s condition was critical. No one knew if she would survive the night. But she held on. She spent her earliest weeks in an incubator under round-the-clock foster care—on antibiotics, Read More
