‘The Compassionate Friends Holds First Meeting

TCF News:

A chapter of The Compassionate Friends (TCF) has been chartered in Los Alamos. The organization offers non-denominational grief support after the death of a child.

According to Simon Stephens, the founder of TCF, “The Compassionate Friends is about transforming the pain of grief into the elixir of hope. It takes people out of the isolation society imposes on the bereaved and lets them express their grief naturally. With the shedding of tears, healing comes. And the newly bereaved get to see people who have survived and are learning to live and love again.”  Read More

SHELTER News:

Tiger is a new arrival who won’t be with us long! He is a five-year-old neutered male orange-upon-more-orange tabby with golden-green eyes. He answers to his name.

Tiger likes to survey his kingdom from a high perch. He enjoys human company, but wants his personal space respected.

Tiger cries when alone too much. Gentle older kids would be okay, but perhaps little kids would not be a good fit for Tiger.

The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, (505) 662-8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets.
