Lumbre Del Sol will headline the Summer Concert tonight at Ashley Pond Park. Entertainment starts at 6 p.m., followed at 7 p.m. by the headliner. N3B is tonight’s concert sponsor.

Sunday Drawing Class To Begin At The Karen Wray Gallery

The Karen Wray Gallery is now offering a Sunday morning Beginning Drawing Class by Jared Krupp, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., starting Sunday, Sept. 7, for eight weeks at $240/student plus supplies. 

Students will learn the fundamentals of drawing, including understanding lines, shapes, proportions, perspective, and shading. These elements will provide students with a strong foundation for creating accurate and compelling drawings.

Daily Postcard: Lazuli Bunting Spotted On Los Pueblos

A Lazuli Bunting is spotted perched on a branch Wednesday morning on Los Pueblos. Two male and one female Lazuli Buntings have been seen on Los Pueblos during the last two days. Lazuli Buntings are small, finchlike, stocky songbirds with cone-shaped bills and gently sloping foreheads. The tail is notched or slightly forked. Male Lazuli Buntings perch upright and sing from exposed perches in low trees and shrubs. Learn Traditional Native American Painting With Office Of Archeological Studies At Santa Fe Indian Market Aug. 16

The New Mexico Office of Archaeological Studies (OAS) will join New Mexico Museum of Art (NM MoA) to share techniques for painting replica potsherds using traditional yucca paints and brushes during Indian Market on the Santa Fe Plaza.
