NHCC Foundation Selects New Director

The National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation (NHCCF) and the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) are excited to announce the selection of Anna Villareal Sanchez to serve as the new NHCC Foundation Director.

Sanchez will begin in her new post on June 29, and will succeed Interim Foundation Director Edward Lujan.

In the book “A Vision of Voices,” author and music critic Craig Smith has written an in-depth portrait of that visionary man. Mesa Public Library’s Authors Speak Series at 7 p.m., June 25, in the Upstairs Rotunda at Mesa will feature Smith talking about his work.

Young Local Artists Receive Youth Business Grants

On Friday evening, Youth Business Grant awardee Isaiah Aylmer will have his art on display and for sale at the Los Alamos County Summer Concert.

Aylmer’s friend, Judge Valdez, taught him how to create space scapes as a way to deal with the daily stresses of school and daily life. The duo can be found around town from time to time selling a variety of sizes of their art at very reasonable prizes.
