Artisan Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Artisan will be celebrating its 40th anniversary selling artist materials in Santa Fe with a customer appreciation party 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., July 18.

The Annual International Folk Art Market is July 10-12. This Art Market was voted the number one art festival in the US, by USA Today readers in 2015.

It takes more than 1,600 volunteers to make this Market possible. Volunteers get into the Market free of charge. Cashiers, cashier assistants and artist assistants are needed for both Saturday and Sunday.

Los Alamos Little Theatre Annual Meeting Sunday

LALT News:

Los Alamos Little Theatre will hold its annual meeting at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at the Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar St.

During the meeting patrons can re-new their LALT membership by paying their $1 annual due, hear about the achievements of the past season and plans for the next, and mingle in a relaxed social environment.

The meeting also is where members vote on candidates for the LALT Board of Directors.

Foster has always been interested in drawing and painting. Starting at an early age, she took afterschool art classes at a local community center.
 
Throughout high school, Foster attended extracurricular art classes at Moore College of Art, the Philadelphia College of Art and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. In 1990 Foster received a BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art.
