LAHS Junior EliseAnne Koskelo Receives Prestigious Awards For Work In Art, Design And Science

LAHS News:

EliseAnne Koskelo, a junior at Los Alamos High School, is the recipient of several prestigious awards for her work in art, design and science. 

In December of 2014, Koskelo was awarded a Merit designation from the National Young Arts Foundation for her work. Koskelo’s portfolio was chosen from more that 11,000 applications from across the United States.

Yungotsuna will be demonstrating katsina carving and talking to visitors in the museum’s galleries 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 23; Sunday, May 24 and Monday (Memorial Day).

‘Eye Spy’ Opens At Fuller Lodge Art Center Friday

The Historical Museum is hosting an exhibit about the Rosenbergs, who were  executed for conspiracy to commit espionage, relating to passing information about the atomic bomb to the Soviet Union. The Fuller Lodge Art Center is hosting Eye Spy, a challenge to artists to work with layers, camouflage, and illusions..

Since the start of the school year, the dance students of Los Alamos High School have been learning and perfecting the art of Ballroom Dance.

They would like to invite the community to their Spring Dance Show at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 21, in Duane Smith Auditorium. Admission is free. LAHS teacher Natasha Barkhudarova has been teaching her students the fundamentals of dance and performance.
