PEEC To Host Spring Wildlife Tracking Program With Certified Specialist Ann Hunkins May 1

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) will offer Discovering Wildlife Through Tracks and Signs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2026, beginning at the Los Alamos Nature Center.

This immersive, field‐based program invites participants to explore the Spring landscape through the perspective of a wildlife tracker, uncovering the subtle clues and stories left behind by animals active in the warming season.

The League of Women Voters of Los Alamos (LWV) invites the community to its Lunch with a Leader event, 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at the Unitarian Fellowship Hall on Sage Loop.

This month’s leader has changed to Los Alamos County Board of Public Utilities (BPU) Chair Robert Gibson, who will be discussing local issues with public utilities in light of recent changes.

2026 Los Alamos Film & Culture Festival April 17-19

After Mikheil Gabadize went on from the 2025 Los Alamos Film and Culture Festival to win two additional awards, it demonstrated that a small, local event had inspired people in several countries.

The volunteer-run and lead non-profit hopes to set the same good fortune in motion for 2026, once again at the spectacular SALA Los Alamos Event Center April 17-19.
